Many view the Rasp as a Multi-Disc Sander, with the same technology as the leading industry Multi-Discs Sanders in the photo above. Multi-Disc Sanders feature a single shaft driving 3 to 6 discs, often referred to as “Planetary Technology.” However, that is not the case with the Rasp.
The Rasp is 5 Machines in 1: - Floor Sander, Edger, Multi-Drive Multi-Disc, Buffer, Concrete Grinder & Features WerkMaster’s “SandPaperLess Diamond Impregnated Metal Bond Tooling Technology.”
FLOOR SANDER, MULTI-DRIVE / MULTI-DISC, CONCRETE GRINDER
The Rasp is unique in its Patented Design. The Rasp’s Multi-Drive, Multi-Disc technology has 6 shafts vs 1 shaft, driving 6 Counter Rotating individual discs. This allows for much higher speeds while delivering greater torque to each disc.
EDGER
Another added bonus of the Rasps unique design is its ability to EDGE to 1/8” of the Wall or by adjusting the skirt – Right to Th e Wall, eliminating the time, expense and frustration of Edging! This feature reduces overall costs and improves Employee Retention and efficiency. ALL other Multi-Disc machines still require having to use an Edger or Palm Sander!
BUFFER
The Rasp is also a Buffer and is available with an optional tank to allow the Rasp to efficiently apply stain to the floor. Again, saving labor while delivering a superior stained finish.
SURFACE PREPARATION -
This is where the Rasp separates itself from the rest of the Pack! The Rasp incorporates WerkMaster’s Plug ‘n Go Diamond Abrasives Tooling Technology to effectively remove aluminum oxide, urethane, wax. oil, varnish, shellac finishes plus glue and wood fillers; as well as epoxy, thinset, paint, VCT tile glue, rubber back carpet remnants on concrete and wood surfaces.
POWER - VARIABLE FREQENCY DRIVE
Additionally, the Rasp features a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) allowing the operator to adjust the speed of the discs to adapt to various surfaces. The VFD also eliminates nuisance breaker issues on the 110v model.
TRANSPORTABLE
Tired of lugging your equipment into a basement or upstairs? The Rasp is transportable, easily breaking down into 3 components.
ENGINEERED & FACTORY FINISHED FLOORS
Ask any floor refinisher how challenging and costly it is to refinish Aluminum Oxide factory finished and Engineered Hardwood floors. Most won’t even attempt to refinish an engineered hardwood floor. To refinish factory finished floors with the Big Machine, the process is: - Start with an 80 Grit paper, then 36 Grit, then 50 Grit and finally with an 80 Grit. And this 4 Step Process typically averages around $200.00 in paper and still requires having to edge!
SANDPAPERLESS TECHNOLOGY IS A GAME CHANGER!

WerkMaster has radically changed the way to refinish engineered and factory finished floors. Our TurboRasp and S-Seg Metal Bond Tooling eliminates the use of sandpaper for the 1st cut on these oxide floors.
Typical process is: -
1st Step – 50/60 Grit TurboRasp
2nd Step -80 Grit TurboBrade Sandpaper
2 Steps vs 4 Steps, SAVING at Least 1 Full Day on a 1000 Footer and NO EDGING!
CONCRETE SURFACE PREP
The Rasp opens several opportunities for today’s floor refinishing and installation contractors. Especially for those who are branching out into epoxy flooring. Many of todays floor finishers are dealing with High Spots that must be removed on concrete floors. A flat floor reduces or eliminates the cost of self-leveling compounds and delivers a better floor.
